The Regina 525 HPE Z-Ring Chain sets new standards in performance and durability for motorcycle chains. Thanks to its revolutionary Z-ring technology, this highly developed chain does not require regular relubrication, which would otherwise be required every 1,000 km. Extensive tests in the laboratory and on the road have proven that the HPE chain has a service life that is at least equivalent, if not longer, than conventional, regularly lubricated Z-ring chains. A special feature of this chain is the coating with Tetrahedral Amorphous Carbon (ta-C), one of the most advanced coatings from the group of DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coatings. This coating is applied to the surface of the chain's bushings and rollers and reduces energy losses while increasing efficiency in the secondary drive.

The very high hardness of the coated surface combined with a low coefficient of friction results in improved performance. Additionally, eliminating the need for chain cleaning and lubricant spraying during operation minimizes environmental impact.
