The book follows the routes of Sabine's race through the stories of eight participants who experienced his challenges and special moments intensively. One of the protagonists is Fabio Marcaccini from Unit Garage. His experiences and his work help keep the myth of the race alive. Experiences from the Dakar and later rallies also form the origin of some of Unit Garage's ideas.
