PUIG Downforce Sport Side Wings for the BMW S1000RR
The PUIG side-wing set combines racing-inspired aerodynamics with a distinctive, sporty look. It was developed for the BMW S1000RR from model years 2015 to 2018 and is available in either black or red.
Racing-derived aerodynamics
PUIG developed the Downforce Sport spoilers based on the Kawasaki Racing Team's experience and testing on WorldSBK racetracks. The side wings direct airflow through the component, helping support rapid changes of direction.
At high speeds, the spoilers contribute to stability and reduce the risk of the shimmy effect that can occur when front-wheel traction decreases. Under hard acceleration, they generate downforce on the front axle, supporting an anti-wheelie effect. The stated downforce reaches up to 6 kilograms on the front axle.
Sporty styling and safety-conscious design
Designed and manufactured in Barcelona, the side wings draw on the latest aerodynamic developments from MotoGP and WorldSBK. Their dynamic shape adds an aggressive accent to the S1000RR. Rounded edges with a radius of more than 2 mm meet the relevant safety requirements.
