TECNIUM air filter for the KTM 380 EXC

The TECNIUM air filter supports air filtration in the intake area of the KTM 380 EXC. Its filter structure keeps dust, sand and dirt out of the engine and helps protect mechanical components such as pistons, cylinders and valves from foreign objects. At the same time, the air permeability required for engine operation is maintained.

Structure and filter function

The air filter consists of two differently structured foam layers. The upper, open-pored layer holds back larger dirt particles. A second layer of denser foam filters finer dust particles and allows air to continue to flow through. As a result, the filter combines graduated particle retention with a functional airflow.

Technical notes

Fireproof foam against backfire is intended as a feature for 4-stroke racing engines. The filter design is described for racing use and combines two-stage filtration with a flexible seal on the air filter housing.
