The TECNIUM air filter is designed for the KTM 450 SXS-F, built in 2007, and supports a clean air supply to the engine during racing. Dust, sand and dirt are specifically filtered out of the intake air so that sensitive engine components such as pistons, cylinders and valves remain protected from these foreign bodies.

Multi-stage filtering for racing use

The filter structure combines two foam layers of different densities. The open-pored upper layer holds back larger dirt particles. A second, denser layer filters the finest dust particles and allows the air to continue to flow through. The air filter combines the filter effect with air permeability, which is important for engine operation.
