Lightweight tank covers in the distinctive vintage PD style

This pair of tank covers for the BMW R 1200 GS from model years 2004 to 2012 transforms the motorcycle’s lines and visually references the legendary PD version. Depending on the selected version, the covers are available painted in Alpine White or with an unpainted white surface.

Design and Construction

Functional Details

• The right side cover can be removed quickly for air-filter maintenance.
• The rear mounting bracket features a slot for attaching a tank bag.
• The covers are supplied with pre-drilled mounting holes.

Scope of Delivery

The set includes both tank covers, screws, rubber buffers, a rear mounting bracket, and machined bushings for the front mounting points.

Installation Notes

• The three upper M5 clips used to join the two covers are transferred from the original motorcycle.
• The supplied M5 × 12 mm button-head screws are inserted into these clips.
• The original pointed M5 screws must not be used, as they may damage the tank covers.
• The original R-1200-GS logos on the sides of the tank must be transferred from the motorcycle or obtained through the official spare-parts distribution network.

Compatibility

For BMW R 1200 GS models from 2004 to 2012. The tank covers are not compatible with the original GS seat.
