The Regina 525 HPE Z-ring chain with rivet link sets new standards in performance and freedom from maintenance for motorcyclists. Thanks to its innovative technology, this state-of-the-art chain no longer requires regular relubrication, which would otherwise be required every 1,000 km. This makes them an ideal choice for drivers who value durability and low maintenance.

Extensive tests in the laboratory and on the road have proven that the service life of the HPE chain is at least as long, if not longer, than that of a conventional, regularly lubricated Z-ring chain. A key advantage of this chain is the coating with Tetrahedral Amorphous Carbon (ta-C), one of the most advanced coatings from the group of DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coatings. This coating is applied to the surface of the bushings and rollers and leads to a reduction in energy losses and an increase in efficiency in the secondary drive.

The ta-C coating combines extreme hardness with a low coefficient of friction, which further increases efficiency and minimizes energy consumption. Additionally, eliminating the need for chain cleaning and lubricant spraying during operation helps minimize environmental impact. The development of this innovative coating process was carried out through intensive research and development work by Regina engineers in Italy.
