YAMAHA XJ 600 [1999-2000] - Z-ring chain

The Regina 525 HPE Z-Ring chain with Rivet Link sets new standards in the performance and durability of motorcycle chains. Extensive laboratory and road tests have proven that the service life of the HPE chain is at least as long, if not longer, than that of a conventional, regularly lubricated Z-ring chain. A special feature of this chain is the coating with Tetrahedral Amorphous Carbon (ta-C), one of the most advanced forms of DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coatings. This coating is applied to the surface of the bushings and rollers and reduces energy losses while increasing efficiency in the secondary drive.

The very high hardness of the coated surface combined with a low coefficient of friction results in improved performance.
