The Basic tank ring from HEPCO & BECKER offers a practical solution for securely attaching tank bags to the Kawasaki Z 650 S from 2026. This product is designed to ensure easy handling while ensuring reliable stability.

The scope of delivery includes the Basic tank ring, which is used together with a model-specific counterholder. The counterholder can be individually adjusted to the shape of the tank and the angle of the handlebars, which makes installation on different motorcycles easier. A key advantage of the tank ring is that the tank cap remains easily accessible even when the ring is installed.

The functionality of the tank ring includes the following features:

• Secure hold: The tank ring guarantees a stable fit of the tank bag, even at higher speeds.
• Mechanical locking: The operation is simple and intuitive thanks to a mechanical lock, which signals that the backpack clicks into place.
• Unlocking mechanism: The tank bag can be unlocked using a strap on the front and removed easily.
• No ABE required: If installed correctly, no general operating permit (ABE) or registration is necessary.
• Recommended maximum speed: The tank bag should be used at speeds of up to 130 km/h.
• Maximum payload: The recommended load for the tank bag is around 3 kg.

It should be noted that it is not possible to use a tank bag with a Lock-it counterholder on a BASIC tank ring. The systems are not compatible and must be coordinated accordingly.
