BASIC tank ring for the 1997 to 2003 Ducati 944 ST 2

This black tank ring allows a Hepco & Becker BASIC tank bag to be mechanically fitted to the 1997 to 2003 Ducati 944 ST 2.

Complete locking unit

The set includes the vehicle-specific tank ring and the matching retaining plate for the tank bag. The retaining plate can be aligned on the tank bag to suit the tank shape and steering lock. It therefore does not need to be purchased separately; a suitable tank bag is required separately.

How the BASIC system works

Once fitted, the tank bag audibly locks onto the ring. A strap at the front in the direction of travel is used to unlock and then remove it. The fuel cap remains accessible with the ring fitted.
